Currently, I am working on logo, branding and desktop and mobile designs for a pomodoro app. The initial scope is a timer application where users can set a pomodoro timer of 25 minutes with 5 or 15 minute breaks. Users will have a bunny avatar to motivate themselves. There will be light and dark themes. Features will be added in later phases, such as task management, leaderboards and more avatars.

Brief: Creating a fun and productive app for users.

Personal Challenges: Finding a font pairing. I paired a bold, heavy weight font (Super Funky) as a header with a thinner font (Hello Graduation Sans) as a sub header. Hello Graduation was not as readable in lowercase and so buttons are in uppercase. When lowercase is used, Hello Graduation is given a 2px letter spacing for readability. I added Open Sans for a more universal web font that is also easy to read. I also had challenges importing the svg into Figma. The solution was to save the Inkscape SVG as an optimized SVG and making sure the text was converted to path and combined where possible. The svg was then importable to Figma and I flattened it for easy manipulation.
